Gemma J. Watmough

Since the beginning of her real estate career Gemma has always been fascinated with different architectural styles and perceives architecture to be a reflection of the values, concerns, and aspirations of people. An avid enthusiast for the Spanish Revival and Mediterranean Revival architecture, these buildings are Gemma’s specialty. Her passion for the Spanish and Mediterranean Revival architecture, which is prominent throughout both Sarasota and Manatee counties, lends to Gemma’s broad knowledge of its history, design, characteristics, and values.

Having traveled extensively abroad accumulating a vast perspective on the real estate market and architecture, Gemma possesses a worldly sophistication. She assisted in the establishment of 41 West Realty Group in Sarasota and is currently conducting her business there as a broker-associate, under Broker Terry L. Fine.

Born in Surrey England, Gemma spent the latter part of her childhood growing up in Sarasota and has enjoyed living and working here ever since. No longer sporting a British accent (although you may be able to detect the remains of it from time to time) Gemma has a passion for life and the pursuit of her goals. A music enthusiast, avid traveler, and novice skydiver Gemma is also a lover of the water and enjoys boating and snorkeling. A dynamic persona she has always been one to embark on the road less traveled and firmly believes in living life to the fullest.

A member of the Historical Society of Sarasota County, Gemma served on the Board of Directors from 2005-2006. She appreciates the creative and innovative efforts of those that settled in Sarasota before us and enjoys contributing to the community whilst expanding her knowledge of Sarasota’s rich history.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Sun Coast

Gemma is a proud “Big Sister” involved in the community-mentoring program at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Sun Coast. Always having possessed an appreciation for children, Gemma looks forward to the fun times she shares with her “Little.”

Offering an education in the tradition of excellence, Gemma attended Pine View School for the gifted in Osprey from the sixth grade through to the twelfth and graduated with honors.
